Its chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said Felda intended to undertake a mixed development project including building at least 3,000 affordable homes on a Felda owned 8.09 hectares of land in Jalan Semarak but the area was too crowded and congested. "We have obtained permission from City Hall for the project and we are looking for land nearby to build 2,000 units of affordable homes," he told reporters after opening the Young Doctors Community Programme at Kampung Bukit Tembok in Pasir Panjang. Isa said the affordable housing would be built specifically for the second generation and youth who intended to settle in the capital.
