3.6% of April 2026’s projects (22 of them) carry a value above RM500 million, 22.2% higher than March 2026; 214 fall under RM10 million.
Tendering and awards
On procurement, the month’s projects break down as Main contractor awarded (438), Subcontractor awarded (157), Subcontractor tender (49). A project may carry more than one award status, so these do not sum to the month total.
What it adds up to
Read together, April 2026 is running ahead of both the previous month and the same point a year ago, which places reported activity on a firmer footing than at any point this quarter.

How these numbers are built
What a "new project" is. A project counted in April 2026 is one myBina first
reported that month. That is a reporting date, not a groundbreaking date — a job may have been planned or
tendered earlier. This is a measure of what entered the record in the month.
Value is an estimate. Many records state a value band rather than a figure, so the midpoint of the
band is used. 607 of 608 records this month
(99.8%) carry a value we can
total; the rest contribute nothing, so the total is a floor rather than a market size.
One sector per project. Sector shares use each project's main category, so they add to 100%.
Award status is the exception: a project can carry more than one, and that table is counted per status.
Stage changes are recorded, not inferred from site activity. A change is counted when a project's
new revision carries a different stage from its previous one. Changes corrected within an existing revision
are not visible to this count, which makes it a minimum.
Scope. Verified, live project records only. Cancelled records are excluded, and residential records
classified as private bungalow or private housing are excluded from the named projects.
Frozen on publication. These figures were computed on
23 September 2026 and are not recalculated, so a figure cited from this page stays as cited.
